Litchi Varieties We Export

Explore our selection of high-quality litchi varieties sourced from India, focusing on freshness and global supply.

1. Shahi

Shahi is a premier variety from Muzaffarpur (Bihar) that ripens in late May. It yields large oval to oblong‑conical fruits with crimson-red tubercles on a green background. Shahi trees are vigorous and produce a heavy crop (about 90–100 kg per tree).

2. Swarna Roopa

Swarna Roopa is a late-season selection from Ranchi, known as India’s first hybrid litchi variety. Its bright-red fruits are very sweet (high TSS) and crack‑resistant. A high percentage of Swarna Roopa fruits have a tiny seed, resulting in a high edible aril content.

3. China

China is an early-mid season cultivar from Muzaffarpur (Bihar) with a semi-dwarf growth habit. It bears medium-large globose fruits that mature from late May, showing a blend of red and orange at ripeness. Trees yield about 80–100 kg of fruit per tree.

4. Kasba

Kasba, common in eastern Bihar, produces medium-large heart-shaped fruits. Ripening in early June, the fruits display red tubercles on a reddish skin at maturity. This mid-season variety yields about 80–100 kg per tree.

5. Elachi

Elachi is a moderately vigorous variety (5–7 m tall) valued for its distinctive conical, orange-red fruits. It is grown primarily for table use. Elachi trees typically yield around 50–60 kg of fruit per season.

6. Purbi

Purbi is an eastern Bihar cultivar bearing medium-large oblong‑conical fruits ripening in late May/early June. The ripe skin is pinkish-brown dotted with bright red tubercles. Purbi is highly productive, averaging about 90–100 kg per tree.

7. Early Seedless

Early Seedless (also called Early Bedana) is the earliest-ripening variety, grown mainly in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. It produces small-to-medium, heart- to oval-shaped fruits with vivid carmine-red tubercles. Yields are moderate (50–60 kg/tree), and the creamy-white pulp is sweet.

8. Rose Scented

Rose Scented is prized for its pronounced rose-like aroma. Grown in the Muzaffarpur area, it starts ripening in early June. The medium-to-large fruits are mostly oval or heart-shaped and turn a deep rose-pink at maturity. Rose Scented trees yield around 80–90 kg per season.

9. Bombai

Bombai is a key commercial variety from West Bengal, ripening in early May. It has vigorous trees (around 6–7 m tall) that produce large, obliquely heart-shaped fruits with carmine-red tubercles on a green background. The typical yield is 80–90 kg per tree.

10. Calcutta (Kalkattiya)

Calcutta (Kalkattiya) is regarded as the best late-season variety in northern India. It bears large oblong fruits in late June with a distinctive tyrian rose-colored skin and dark tubercles. With proper irrigation Calcutta yields about 80–100 kg per tree, and the pulp is very sweet.

11. Gulabi (Sre no.4)

Gulabi (Sre no.4) is another late-season North Indian variety. It bears profuse harvests (90–100 kg/tree) of medium oblong-oval heart-shaped fruits in late June. The ripe fruits are striking: shrimp- to carmine-red with mandarin-red tubercles, and a greyish-white, firm sweet pulp.
